We are proud to announce that our security and IT teams have completed another security assessment by Amazon!
From 2022, Valigara is the only software in the jewelry industry approved by Amazon for receiving buyers’ Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
Why is this important for jewelry businesses?
- Valigara’s fulfillment module is granted unique access to the buyer’s information on Amazon, allowing full-cycle logistics.
- When using Valigara, you are sure you are using the most stable and secure system, approved by Amazon’s top security teams.
What is Amazon’s Security Assessment?
The assessment is part of the Amazon MWS Developer Assessment Program. Companies applying for the highest level of Data Roles and data security are individually tested and approved to become Amazon’s Data Subprocessor—the software partner to whom Amazon distributes the data.
As part of the program assessment, Valigara’s application in the Amazon Selling Partner Appstore was granted Restricted roles – the highest allowed permissions level for 3rd-party applications.
This level of security is granted only to 0.5% of public Amazon apps.
This year, the Amazon and KPMG security teams executed the assessment to ensure Valigara is compliant with the strictest data storage, processing, and security requirements. The software and hardware tests, physical environment, and Information Security processes, among many other aspects, were carefully inspected.
The approval elevated Valigara’s clients’ data handling to the highest level of security. During the process, we updated existing work processes and established new ones. We are thankful to the KPMG and Amazon teams for their insights.
